Drug Formulary
West Virginia formulary of the systemic medications that an optometrist may prescribe include:
- Antibiotics
- Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
- Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS)
- Antihistamines
- Oral corticosteroids, may be purchased for a duration of no more than six days
- Analgesics, provided that no oral narcotic analgesic may be prescribed for a duration of more than three days
- Nutritional supplements
