Online Biennial Renewal
The Board of Optometry uses a biennial (two year) license renewal system. This change will result in a biennial renewal fee of $650 paid in advance and 40 hours of CE in arrears.
When you renew your license you will pay $650. However, you will not renew your license again until 2012. In July 2012, you will again pay the biennial renewal fee.
All licenses will EXPIRE on June 30, 2010. There is a 1-month GRACE period for this year only due to the recent change in the W. Va. Code. A late fee of $200 will be imposed if not post marked by July 31, 2010.
Online Renewal allows you to make address changes. Online Renewal will require the following information:
- User Name
- Password
In order to use e-Renewal, your license must be in a clear/active status. You may pay the fee by credit card or listing the numbers from the bottom of your check. Don’t forget to update your contact information including your e mail address.
